Group Information
Our 24,000 square foot facility serves as a training site for Michigan State University Archery Team. The Demmer Center is also open to the public and offers an opportunity to enjoy shooting sports activities at various levels.
The Demmer Center, one of the largest of its kind in the nation, is a year-round facility which houses an indoor archery range, three outdoor archery ranges and two state-of-art firearms ranges that will accommodate tournaments, leagues, markmanship training, and more. A large open commons area provides a staging place for events, space for vendors, award ceremonies or other needs. In addition, two conference rooms can accommodate up to 50 People with multi-media capabilities.
The Demmer Center offers a unique way for your Organization, Business, or Group of Friends and Family to have a fun, educational, and safe shooting experience. If you have a group of people and would like to reserve a shooting range, please call (517) 884-0550 for scheduling. Please have everyone in your group sign the Release of Liability form and please fax it to (517) 884-0551.
If you are interested in hosting an event at our facility please fill out the Reservation Form, and fax it to (517) 884-0551. Also, please review our User Group Rules and Regulations, and if you a planning to hold an event, please fill out and sign the User Group Agreement and fax it to (517) 884-0551.
Hunter Safety Certification
If you have a group who would like to take the Hunter Safety certification class, please contact the Center for scheduling. The Hunter Safety Education curriculum includes training in firearms safety, basic archery safety, hunting ethics, wildlife management, conservation, survival, regulations, and a final written exam. Cost is $10 per person.
Hunter education in Michigan has taught thousands of people safe hunting techniques, firearm handling and hunter ethics. Hunter safety is required if you were born after January 1, 1960 and you want to purchase any Michigan hunting license, or if you are planning an out-of-state hunting trip. Parents are NOT required to stay with their children over the age of 13.
