The MSU Archery Team started out the spring semester strong, writing and lobbying for a $4,500 grant (the largest amount possibly awarded) from ASMSU. Archery Team leadership collected information regarding what they wanted to purchase with the grant, what their current funds were, as well as descriptive information about the club as a whole. They then made a presentation to the ASMSU board, arguing why their project was a good investment and how it helped the MSU student body. After an overwhelming seven votes (with one board member voting “indifferent”), the grant was approved and the registered student organization received their funding.

With this funding, the club was able to order uniforms for all 19 of it’s competitive team members as well as order equipment that will be used by the club as a whole. With the funds, the team hopes to be able to purchase releases, stabilizers, and bows for use by any club member.

The MSU Archery Team, as well as the Demmer Center, would like to thank ASMSU for it’s generous donation to the club. We are very proud of our collegiate teams and know that they deserve and appreciate any donations they receive.
